In the decade or so it's been around it has become a huge collection of stories, with a whole host of plot threads, characters and events to follow. The Outcast Dead (XVII) and Deliverance Lost (XVIII) can be skipped. Today, i wanted to link and amplify a flow chart produced by the fine people over at black librarium.
I wanted a chart that was [somewhat] interactive, in that you could search, see cover images, and I wanted to include links to the wiki for each book to get a bit more info then you would from the chart.

This is really a long story but one thing to consider is that if you read Horus Heresy complete. I wanted to make a chart that not only covered the entirety of the series but highlighted the important reading order of the major story arcs. The novels are written by different authors, but follow the same storyline - the fall of Warmaster Horus and his campaign of treachery to usurp the Emperor as ruler of the Imperium.
